Quinta De La Rosa 10 Year Old Tawny Port

A family favourite - named after the famous ‘Tonel 12’ barrel in which the family used to keep their aged tawnies.

Aged in old 550l oak pipes for an average of 10 years. Blending grapes touriga nacional, touriga franca and sousao.

Chill before serving on its own – a summer port. Pair with mince pies at Christmas, orange and chocolate tart.

  • Quinta De La Rosa 10 year old tawny port ferments slightly longer to guarantee a dry complex finish
  • Expect flavours of powerful dried fruit, including apricot and figs, along with honey, almonds and orange peel

Still largely unexplored, the terroir in the Douro offers incredible opportunity. None more so than La Rosa, whose vines rise dramatically out of the river with the imposing Vale do Inferno vineyard, and climb majestically up to an altitude of 500m with Lamelas, whose magnificent views overlook the very heart of the region.

The grapes are category A - the very best the Douro has to offer. Remarkable freshness and minerality from the unique terroir. Along with a steadfast desire to ensure that the brandy is well integrated means that all of their port wines are in a drier house style, without any overpowering sweetness.
