Hidalgo La Gitana Pedro Ximenez Triana

Hidalgo La Gitana Pedro Ximenez Triana is a premium sherry from the Hidalgo winery in the Andalusian region of Spain. The winery was established in 1792 by Don Manuel Hidalgo, who was a sherry merchant. The winery produces high-quality sherries made from the local pedro ximenez grape variety.

  • Very dark with iodine intensity, leaving a very dense tear on the glass and an almost amber hue
  • Very intense and complex, typical notes of nuts, toffee and noble oak
  • Dense, creamy and powerful, opulently sweet and intense to the palate

Slightly chill before serving. La Gitana is a versatile sherry which you can enjoy in a variety of ways. Serve as a dessert wine, pair with rich and sweet desserts such as fruit tarts, chocolate mousse, and ice cream.

The sherry is also a great match for cheeses, such as Roquefort, Stilton, and Gouda. Additionally, enjoy the sherry on its own as an after-dinner drink, or as a digestive to help cleanse the palate after a meal.

Pedro Ximenez Viejo Triana’s grapes initially dry in the sun on straw mats, concentrating the sweetness of the grape juice. Then pressing and vinified, before long ageing in soleras of American oak. The resultant wine is has a intense dark treacle colour and a rich and luscious texture.
