Port & Game Sausage Rolls

The perfect festive treat to share with friends!

Serves: 8

Preparation: 45 minutes

Cooking time: 25 minutes

Ingredients:
200g game mince
200g pork mince
1000g puff pastry sheet
100g diced onion
100ml Ruby Port
Pinch of fresh thyme
Pinch of fresh sage
Pinch of Salt & pepper


Method:

  1. Mix the game mince, pork mince, diced onion, chopped herbs, Ruby Port, salt and pepper.

  2. Place the mixture on the pastry and roll over to form a sausage roll.

  3. Crimp the edges, score the top and brush with egg wash.

  4. Place into a hot oven (180ºC) for 25 minutes.

  5. Once cooked removed from the oven and allow to rest.

  6. Slice and serve warm with a little chutney on the side
